Want to know where a company is headed? Look where they've been. History speaks volumes. The Chaparral story dates back to 1965 when Buck Pegg founded a boat company named Fiberglass Fabricators and launched a 15-foot tri hull that sold for a whopping $675.
In 1976 a move to Nashville, Georgia and a name change to Chaparral put the company in high gear. As the square footage expanded and the centerlines inched up, so did the market share. Today, Chaparral has more than a quarter million satisfied customers worldwide with the same two man management team from day one, with every boat still made in the USA. There is often as much to be said for tradition every bit as innovation.

The 256 SSi is Powerboat Magazine's reigning Boat of the Year winner. The first time you step onboard you'll agree there isn't a bowrider in this size range that even comes close in overall performance, styling, family-minded features, workmanship and value. Featuring fore and aft boarding ladders like the Sunesta Deckboats with high quality solid surface countertops in the cockpit and head reminiscent of the luxurious Signature Cruisers, the 256 is a multipurpose sportboat that only Chaparral could build. Never before seen extras include an enclosed fiberglass hideaway head that's part of the portside dash console.
The transom area includes a walk-thru center section, a full width sun lounge and not one but two hinged storage trunks. She has plenty of seating and a swim platform and ladder. The bow has plenty of room to relax in the sun with the option of retreating to the cabin to relax or escape inclimate weather.
Know where the boat is headed by knowing the engine has been rebuilt and is ready to go. Save yourself a ton of money and buy a rebuilt, lightly used Boat of the Year and make her your boat of the week-end, summer, afternoons, vacations or Sunday mornings........

POP Yachts has partnered with Boat History Report® to provide history reports on all or most of our vessels for sale.
History Reports include accident data collected from public and private sources throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. These accidents are reported to Boat History Report and then entered into our database. Boat History Report's Accident Database also includes minor accidents. However, we don't have information on all accidents, which is why it is stated on all History Reports: All accidents are not reported to Boat History Report. Therefore, it is recommended that a complete inspection or survey be completed by a professional before consummating a purchase.
